[...] Often in your society you are afraid to hope for the best, because you have been taught so long that misfortune is in one way or another the natural course of events.

[...] I mentioned this experience briefly in How To Develop Your ESP Power, but here I’m including Rob’s notes which provide a fuller version of the event and our attitude toward it at the time.

[...] Look between events. [...]

[...] The legends, many of them therefore, were of course chronicles of quite legitimate physical events, describing phenomena for example for which natives had no adequate vocabulary. They were forced to describe what they saw by making comparisons with objects and events already familiar to them.

[...] I am trying to bring you up to date consecutively, and interwind all events so that you can follow. [...]

[...] Many elements in Tam’s dream tallied with events depicted in this session, bearing out Seth’s contention that Tam already sensed the conflicts over Adventures, etc. [...]

[...] The organizational “distortions,” however, were also necessary within the framework of history as events are understood. [...]

Events are not predestined. [...]

(Pace slower.) They not only have a reality in the psyche, however, but they are imbedded in genetically codified data by the inner self — a genetic memory of past psychic events — transposed into the genetic memory of the very cells that compose the body.

(9:41.) Beneath those levels, however, you comprehend events in an entirely different fashion. [...]

However scandalous or unrealistic this proposition sounds, the fact is that people do not “will” a specific outcome of events while their imaginations vividly portray the opposing outcome.

But the deeper questions were now implied in ordinary events as I went about my day. [...]

I wrote four more poems of varying merit about that one event and behind the whole affair was defiant recognition of the value of any consciousness, whatever its form. [...]

[...] Since a session was due tonight, Jane studied the letter in the event Seth would choose to deal with it this evening. [...]

[...] This will produce, usually, no actual return to physical events, but a reenactment of them. [...]

[...] Again, quite legitimate perhaps, but is this a threatening event, or is it perhaps a threatening physical object?

Nerves are stimulated so that the areas of the body become more alive and responsive to energies that can be overlooked in the face of cultural or secondary events. [...]

[...] Quite simply, you want to experience a certain kind of reality, so you put boundaries about events, that allow you to concentrate upon them. [...]

(And those strange feelings of Jane’s are precisely why we’re presenting this session in Mass Events, even though it isn’t book dictation. [...]

[...] If you hear Ruburt grunting, et cetera, try to recognize the event, and try to reassure him, when possible. [...]

[...] Notice the correction in last sentence—there wasn’t any sense of danger; sorrow after an event? Nor did it seem particularly an immediate event, or even necessarily one in near future.]
