(“I’ll tell you something,” Jane said as we sat for the session at 8:55. “I want to have a session, but ever since supper time I’ve had the greatest feelings of healing and relaxation—especially in my legs. Things are really changing.... Those feelings are stronger than anything I’ve had. I noticed them in the bathroom tonight too. So I’m telling you about this ahead of time, just in case I conk out or something. I want to have a book session, though.”

(She’s resumed walking a little bit both yesterday and today, and in more comfort than she’d had since the leg changes became more pronounced recently, and feels better about that. This afternoon I watched her do some of her exercises on the bed, and saw a noticeable improvement in many of her movements, especially those involving the knees—a most hopeful sign.

[...] I was upset, thinking that if she couldn’t read it would be a great handicap, especially since we’d started up the sessions again. [...]

[...] The flexing of the joints in her shoulders was especially noticeable—they moved like they were made of rubber, I told her, and she agreed that they felt fine doing this. [...]
