[...] She suggested trying dream suggestion to get clues as to the root causes of her fears, and I said that that was a good approach.

(We had two questions for Seth, since we’re trying to get into the habit of writing such down as they occur to us: 1. Jane wanted Seth to comment on why he’ll take off on something she’s read, and reinterpret it his own way, or carry it further; her question came up because he did this Monday while she’s reading Fred Hoyle’s book, Ten Faces of The Universe; 2. Jane wanted Seth to give information on her “significant” dream of last Saturday morning, July 1. She couldn’t remember any details from it, but has talked about it often; she thinks it had something to do with health.)

[...] His dream did inform him of that, but this also means that the mental conditions of limitation are being released enough so that other areas of your experience are now ready to come together in newer fashions.

[...] This may be a case of things being redeemed on a “higher” level, I suppose—reminding me of material I’ve been dealing with recently in the intro for Seth/Jane’s Dreams.

[...] Quite spontaneously, again, you often do this in the dream state, and often what seems to you to be an inspiration is a thought experienced but not actualized on the part of another self. [...]

Now I have told you that dreams are caused in part—underline in part—by chemical excesses built up within the human system. Dreams also carry the weight of emotional excesses that cannot be adequately expressed within daily physical action.

(Seth began talking about dreams by the 15th session, then began to give material on their chemical excesses soon after. [...]

[...] Now I want you, Joseph, to set up a procedure with a dream notebook at your side of the bed—a decent table or whatever to hold it, and a psychological set begun; for you have thus far not taken those simple important steps.

(After supper we talked about whether she might want to resume dictation for her intro to Dreams. [...]

[...] I still read the deleted material for myself on most days, paint a little, do chores, work on the files, the yard, help Jane, record dreams—but I try to do all of these things at an easy pace while trusting that I’ll continue to reconcile opposing beliefs, and see more physical and creative improvements. Old habitual thought patterns are being worked out through the dream communications. [...]

One dream can change the development of a personality, and change his physical course. To those of us not within your system, we can turn into that dream, pick it up in other words. But the dream is not predestined, and the dream develops because of the personality involved.

[...] Your dreams are free from the restrictions imposed by your ego, and your dreams affect your daily life much more than you know. [...]

(Seth’s remark above, “turn into that dream”, involves the fourth inner sense: the Conceptual Sense. [...]

[...] Dreams, Astral Projection and ESP, I believe was to be the title. [...]

Ruburt himself recognized the book’s deficiencies, and he and Tam together hit upon the idea of switching my book, Seth Speaks, which was not yet contracted for, instead of Dreams. [...]

(Long pause at 9:19.) These methods of operation involved certain evidences of play, some social chatter, mutual trust, and left open the doors to a certain kind of unpredictable pattern of development—a pattern in which, for example, Tam could recognize the latent book in the Emir dream, and help fire Ruburt to write it, even though eventually Prentice was not the publisher. [...]

[...] She’s even let go writing up her recent dream material, some of which has been excellent, with apparent precognitive information of a positive nature.

(Jane has had several vivid dreams since we held the last session; they’ve been of the type described in recent private sessions—combinations of nightmarish events and characters, along with flashes of insight into the causes for the symptoms, and visions of herself walking normally, etc. [...]

(Pause.) Both physical stalling of late—and the dreams and occasional feelings of panic—have been incentives of a kind to deal with the deeper beliefs. [...]
