(Sometimes I wonder if I’m supposed to work on Dreams these days at all—whether it may not be a project whose time is not yet for either Jane or me. [...]

But the dreaming state presents any experimenter with original and varied material, and the opportunities involved are tremendous. The inverted time system will appear plainly, if any examination is made as to the relationship between time and the dream state.

3. As of several months later, though, Jane hasn’t remembered any dreams about the light….

JANE’S DREAM

(Finished typing Chapter 5 of Dreams this morning.

[...] Not only does it feed the physical universe, but in it many aspects of your own dreams become actual. Do you dream of an apple? Do you dream of a child, who has no existence in physical reality? [...]

[...] The dreaming self sees both fields, and operates in each. It should be realized that the probable self also has its dreams.

[...] When he is operating at his best he remembers his dreams very easily, and this can be a guide point for you both.

(True, Jane has had trouble remembering her dreams lately, and for that matter so have I. She had also been quite tired at the end of sessions, as noted; whereas she usually feels better than at the beginning.)

[...] Your closest approximation—and it is an approximation only—of the state of being that existed before the universe was formed is the dream state. [...]

[...] Each consciousness that takes a part in the physical universe dreamed of such a physical existence, in your terms, before the earth was formed. [...]

I was surprised after the session tonight when Jane said that she still wants to read the second of the two books on creationism I’d bought, not long before she began delivering Dreams for Seth.

[...] Perhaps, I thought when putting together the Preface for Dreams, I just wanted to use some of our later material in the new book.

[...] At the same time, she had a lot of material in mind from Seth—on the glass experience; a dream I’d had on August 1, in which I’d found her lying on the floor in the bathroom doorway; and a fairly strong earthquake that had struck south of San Francisco, California, this afternoon. [...]

[...] Your dream brought your fears to the surface of your mind, and when those fears became conscious both of you determined to show yourselves that Ruburt was indeed safe and protected. [...]

Ruburt also spoke of reincarnational dreams. [...]

I do bid you a fond good evening and I suggest that you pay particular attention not only to your dream periods but to your ordinary waking experience this week for clues as to your own reincarnational... [...]

What I want to emphasize here is the paranoid’s misinterpretation of innocuous personal or mass events, and to stress the ways in which physical events can be put together symbolically, so that from them a reality can be created that is almost part physical and part dream.

[...] These individuals often use the physical world in the way that most people use the dream world, so that for them it is difficult to distinguish between a private and a publicly-shared reality.

[...] The book would include Jane’s simplistically beautiful and brilliantly colored art; also my own quite different art—especially those drawings and paintings of and from my dreams that began to blossom as Seth discussed his dream material. [...] In all modesty, I think that my art and its subject matter are unique; that for each one of us dreams are an original and unending source of inspiration and knowledge.

(To Arnold.) Your dream was valid. You were correct about your dream. [...]

(To another student) You did indeed have some valid dream experiences, and you only remembered a portion of them. [...]
