You (both) are studying the nature of creativity as few others have done or can do—and that is bound to make possible new creative frameworks, and to offer new solutions to situations that cause difficulty only within smaller frameworks. Do you have questions? [...]

I do want to point out that all fetuses do not necessarily intend to develop into normal babies, and that if medical science, through its techniques, ends up in directing a normal birth, the consciousness of the child may never feel normally allied with physical experience.

Those fetuses that do not develop still contribute to the body’s overall experience, and they feel themselves successful in their own existences. [...]

I am not advising that malformed infants be killed, but I do want to point out that even in those most severe cases there is meaning in such conditions, and the consciousness involved then chooses another kind of experience.

(The session, Jane said, verged often on the unpleasant, as if Blanche had to go through her own last memories first in order to make contact, and we wondered whether a survival personality would want to do this very often. [...] I thought this reinforced the fact of contact, yet at the same time reassured Jane, by name, that she could do very well, and that Seth and I were with her as protectors.

[...] Jane then suggested that I speak to Seth, since I was used to doing so; her hope being that by going into trance on her own she might contact a survival personality—namely, Blanche Price.

[...] Jane had repeatedly asked Seth for assistance, and I began by doing the same.

[...] I felt that my speaking, steadily but not rapidly, gave Jane freedom and reassurance to do more than she might have otherwise, and she later agreed to this. [...]

I suggest, if this will do me any good, that both of you take the work involved and find those sessions and finally put them to use. [...]

Self-protection kept you from doing so. [...]

[...] He felt he could not afford to let the symptoms go unless he was willing to give you up entirely, and he would not do that.

Jane wanted Seth to comment on why he’ll take off on something she’s read, and reinterpret it his own way, or carry it further; her question came up because he did this Monday while she’s reading Fred Hoyle’s book, Ten Faces of The Universe; 2. Jane wanted Seth to give information on her “significant” dream of last Saturday morning, July 1. She couldn’t remember any details from it, but has talked about it often; she thinks it had something to do with health.)

[...] Probabilities do not operate alone, isolated, but largely in terms of conglomerations, so that, say, like does attract like.

[...] The same thing can happen, however, where no crashes or disasters are involved, and no dangers are implied, but where events that do not fit into your implied pattern intrude into it.

[...] An encounter, for example, that is a nuisance today may suddenly spark a new insight tomorrow, or appear in your own work in an entirely different form that you do not recognize, simply because you are not used to looking at such distractions in this kind of creative light.

When you realize this, then you can accept seeming setbacks, or seeming contradictions, with a calm detached air, realizing that such factors appear as they do only in the light of your present intellectual knowledge—a knowledge that must be limited to current events—and that in the larger picture known to you at other levels, such seeming contradictions, or seemingly unfortunate situations, or whatever, will be seen to be to your advantage. You do not have all the facts, you see, at that intellectual level, so if you base all of your judgments—all of your judgments—at that level alone, then you can be quite shortsighted.

[...] He sensed that the form was composed of energy that was definitely predisposed to come to his assistance, or to do his bidding.

[...] You do share psychic memories, and hold in common the memories of other selves who did live in the time of your (fourth) Roman-soldier incident.

[...] A conception of time close to psychological time would give Bill enough time to do all he wants to do.

(When Peggy asked him if the records pertained to Frank Watts being a teacher, Seth gave an answer I do not recall, except that I am sure it was not a direct yes or no. Frank Watts, Seth did tell us, is doing very well. [...]

[...] They take it for granted, not knowing what it is or what they do, yet it speaks through all their motions and they dwell in the ancient wisdom of its ways. They do not have conscious memory, again, but the instinctive memory of the cells and organs sustains them. [...]

[...] Part of this great permissiveness has to do with the fact that man is to realize that he creates his own reality. [...]

As you should know here, I do not speak in terms of payment, I do not speak in terms of suffering, of making up. I do not speak in terms of his being forced to make up. [...]

I do not say this to make you feel inferior, or Ruburt. It is simply that it is difficult to mix the material with a light atmosphere, although I do believe we can retain the emotional closeness which does seem to be beneficial. [...]

While I am doing that I am also trying to introduce you, intuitively at least, to a larger framework, in which events straddle the reality that you know. [...]

(11:00.) It is not invisible, nor do you have to know exactly what you are looking for, which of course would make the situation nearly impossible. All you have to do is decide to examine the contents of your conscious mind, realizing that it contains treasures that you have overlooked.

Another way to do this is to recognize through examination that the physical effects you meet exist as data in your conscious mind — and the information that formerly seemed unavailable will be obvious. [...]
