“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

Today, Monday March 26, 1979 I briefly look over the start Seth has on chapter 6 of Mass Reality. I’d been somewhat concerned about getting back to the book though the sessions have been excellent lately. Anyhow, got the idea when I put the book away that Seth would speak about things like the Moonies without mentioning them, idea being that the self as it is isn’t trusted; as in the Jonestown thing. Such groups make people dissatisfied with the self as it is, and try to superimpose the idea of a superior self—realistically impossible. This generates more guilt of course.... (There was some other stuff I got but I’ve forgotten it already.) Anyway the chapter was to be followed according to what I got, by one on frightened people who suddenly break out of old ideas, open their mental environments, and seemingly work miracles in their lives; like the old man, the old woman....

[...] You have become dissatisfied with those ways, but in becoming dissatisfied you must also extend yourselves to learn new methods of perceptions, and you must expand your consciousness. [...]

I keep trying to clear up certain matters for you, in the manner of a teacher, without offending your sensibilities, spurring you onward, but not wanting you to become despairing or dissatisfied overall with the state of your progress. [...]
