(Today, for the first time since we received it on July 7, we didn’t apply DMSO to any portion of Jane’s anatomy. I thought it a good idea, myself, so when she slept until 10:30, and then became busy talking to Frank Longwell about the conversion of our front porch to a glassed-in affair, I didn’t ask that she try any. [...]

[...] I didn’t realize that I was projecting at first — I didn’t have the presence of mind, say, to order myself to burst through the door into the living room. [...]

[...] (When I said I didn’t know how to write down what she was telling me, Jane said:)Just put: the minus numbers represent negative charges, and mark the activity of ions’ negative flow. [...]

(For some reason Jane then told me I didn’t have to put this down, but I did so anyway: ) The order of the integers on the negative side descends in direct proportion to the order of ascension of integers on the positive side. [...]

[...] Next I began to remind myself of Seth’s material in the last three private sessions—to live in the present and stop projecting into the future, that my body didn’t deserve to be treated that way, and didn’t understand such musings. [...]

[...] Jane didn’t remember the dream material. [...]

[...] She’d also been quite relaxed at times through the day, so I didn’t ask her for a session. It seems that we also got our signals crossed, for I learned today that she’d been ready for a session; but because I didn’t come out of the writing room and ask her if she wanted one, she thought I didn’t want one....

(Dr. Gibson was in briefly this morning, Jane said, but she didn’t tell him about the second opening in the knee, for drainage, nor did he ask. [...]
