(As I told Jane last night, I didn’t realize that I was so tight, so bound up with tensions and stresses, that I was ready to fall ill because of those basic conflicts with self-disapproval, the male-provider role, money, taxes, and all the rest of the daily paraphernalia of living. [...]

[...] By then, Jane said, she couldn’t remember much of Professor Moorcroft’s letter, but I told her it didn’t matter. [...]

(I didn’t think anything immediate would develop, I told her, nor did I expect the session tonight would be on me. [...]

[...] “I thought there was something involving you toward the end that I didn’t get,” Jane said. When I answered that the material seemed clear enough, she said that it concerned something that didn’t come out in the session. [...]

[...] She also tried the library today, as Seth had suggested, but with “nil” results, but didn’t try the energy-healing exercise yet. [...]

[...] We didn’t ask him to do this. He told us his review for Richard Bach wouldn’t “be hostile;” he didn’t particularly like the book. Jane, liking Timothy Foote, told me later that had he stayed for the evening she would have had a session for him; yet we feel there were reasons he didn’t stay, and that things worked out for the best all around.

[...] It was as though the break between sessions didn’t exist for him.

[...] I sat in silence for several minutes because I didn’t know what to do; I seemed to be neutralized by the conflicting feelings washing over me. [...]

(I asked Jane why she was allowing this material to come through now, but she didn’t know. [...]

(I didn’t believe any of this, and still don’t. I let Seth see my disbelief, but said no more. [...]

(“He’s known for at least a year that I didn’t agree at all—and probably longer than that, Seth.”)

[...] I was upset because I didn’t want her to slack off on eating, and perhaps start losing weight when she was doing so well. [...]

[...] Jane didn’t particularly want to be turned on her side, but the time was approaching. [...]

[...] “That was probably because he didn’t want me to think he was challenging me,” Jane said. [...]

(The contradictory thing was, as I’d told her the other day, that I didn’t think we were going to get anywhere in solving our dilemmas until we tapped into the session routine again. [...]

It’s of interest here to note that although he referred to my three Roman-officer perceptions of last October in the 721st session (which itself was held a month after I’d experienced them), Seth didn’t mention that I had a second Roman-soldier counterpart living in the same time and area of the world in the first century A.D. I didn’t ask about any such possibility, either. [...]

[...] I didn’t know, for they not only rearoused old questions, but brought up some new ones.

[...] I didn’t “see” the reasons and actions leading to his presence there, and I doubt if I ever will. [...]

[...] Sharon didn’t give any sign that she noticed or heard anything unusual—and looking at Jane, one couldn’t tell that she was in trance. [...]

[...] The children did not know the session was taking place; from their viewpoints we must have appeared like three adults who sat talking, and closed the doors because they didn’t want to be bothered.

[...] Seth also included suggestions for Marian regarding therapeutic dreams; at breaks Jane and I explained what we could, but left feeling there was much we didn’t have time to include. [...]
