There is no need saying Ruburt would be in better physical condition perhaps if the psychic development has not happened—since that development was a part of his natural growth processes. [...]

[...] The avenues for development are open now. You can, now, set out to explore environments that are not physical if you want to, but I do not see any rush of students at that invisible door!

It will therefore return once more to the same plane with which it was familiar, where it will meet with new challenges, and develop new abilities that will, however, be of the same basic nature; that is, if we are speaking of your plane, the ego would have new experiences, develop new abilities, perhaps solve old problems, balance out deficiencies, but still be dealing with problems of manipulation and physical construction.

Each existence in any of many camouflage patterns trains and fulfills the inner self to develop the greatest possible fulfillment of its own qualities and characteristics. [...]

[...] It, that is it meaning the outer ego, can even continue growth and development after a particular existence, according to its inherent ability and according to its ability to communicate with the basic inner self.

The process could or could not have developed, according to the probabilities and the circumstances. [...] Ruburt’s ego would have avoided the questions and taken the easy road, and this easy road would not have developed the full potentials that were necessary if the personality were to use its creative and intuitional abilities in any important manner.

Now some inner data cannot be perceived or translated by the brain, practically speaking, but as minds develop so the physical brain will develop, and in some individuals to a large extent this has occurred.

Strong abilities show themselves, and Ruburt’s inner life is a full and rich one, his inner perceptions well-developed. [...]

[...] You are supposed to get a clear picture of your inner development by perceiving the exterior environment. [...]

[...] Therefore large portions of the brain, now unused, lie latent for these developments. [...]

Physical feedback is of course necessary for development, and a child deprived of it will not fully mature. Yet the development of dreams follows inner patterns that activate the child’s growth, and stimulate its development. [...] The child crawls and walks in dreams before those acts are physically executed — the dreams serving as impetus for muscular coordination and development.

The individual is born equipped with his humanness, with certain propensities and leanings toward development. [...]

[...] The dream world, then, develops faster than physical experience. [...]

You could have chosen not to develop these latent abilities at all. You could have developed other latent abilities in their stead. [...] That particular problem then is also a challenge and a way of development for you both.

While it (ego consciousness) recognized its deep oneness with the earth and all creatures, it could not at the same time develop those abilities of specialization and its own particular unique focus. [...]

Other democratic societies had existed in the past, but in them democracy was still based on one religious precept, though it might be expressed in different ways — as, for example, in the Greek city-states (in the sixth and fifth centuries B.C.). The Holy Roman Empire united a civilization under one religious idea, but the true brotherhood of man can be expressed only by allowing the freedom of man’s thought under the banner of cooperation; and only this will result in the fulfillment of the species, with developments of consciousness that in your terms were latent from the beginning.
