“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Lorraine is an expert at shorthand, whereas Peg and I use an abbreviated longhand. The session was an extremely fast one, and I finally had to ask Jane to slow down her delivery. She began her delivery with her eyes closed, but she spoke in a rather strong voice and in a very active manner. Much of the time she leaned forward in the rocker, her elbows on her knees, her hands clasped. She used many gestures and few pauses.)

(Jane’s delivery had been fast, almost too fast for comfort, although Lorraine had no trouble keeping up with her shorthand. I asked my wife to slow down a bit. Her eyes had been closed for most of the delivery, and they were closed during a good part of the next one. She resumed at a fast pace and in a strong voice at 10:05.)

(Break at 10:25. Jane was well dissociated. She ended the delivery on a humorous note. Her eyes had been mostly closed. She again had no idea that she had been speaking so rapidly; even Lorraine wondered if Seth was trying to find out just how fast she could take shorthand. I would say that Jane’s delivery was faster than ever before, her voice loud.

[...] Jane’s voice rose to some degree of loudness for the rest of this delivery. [...]

[...] I believe that I too was in some kind of light trance state during this delivery, since I felt quite lethargic. Oddly enough I found trying to write at a slow pace, matching Jane’s delivery, more difficult than to proceed at the more rapid rate I am accustomed to.

(Jane began dictating in a normal voice and at a normal rate, but her speed of delivery soon began to slow down, as will be noted, until it became almost painfully slow. [...]

[...] Jane was fairly well dissociated for a first delivery. Her delivery had been fast, her eyes closed all the time. During this delivery a very heavy rain began to fall; it was noisy, but her voice surmounted the additional noise without trouble. [...]

(She resumed with her eyes closed, and with a quieter voice, but with the same fast rate of delivery, at 10:16.)

[...] She sat down during part of her delivery at Seth’s bidding, so that I wouldn’t miss any of the material. Also, her broadly smiling face felt different than usual to her; Jane said she really felt Seth’s emotions during this delivery, and added that Seth thought he was being smart.

[...] Jane tapped on my desk to make emphasis for the last line of her delivery. [...] She reported that just as her delivery ended, she had another mental picture. [...]

(Jane was keenly aware of Seth’s emotions during the above delivery, she said, and as always it made the delivery most enjoyable. [...]
