Ruburt has learned considerable control over his physical body, quite without realizing it, as a result of his difficulties. The control will serve us well, and allow the spontaneous self more freedom in sessions.

The experience of “coming to life during dreams” with any consistency, having some critical awareness, some rational control, some glimpse of other-dimensional reality — these events in the overall are bound to transform ordinary concepts regarding the nature of consciousness.

The use of full intuition with discipline and control, and a daily schedule that includes contemplation and a temporary relaxation and slowing down of bodily process, [means] he will live longer because of this, and his work will be deeper and of greater import.

That environment is not something separate from yourself, for you to control. [...]

The outer ego then remains at the end a controller and director of those strengths which it gathered about itself during its particular existence. [...]

I feel that I should explain myself to some degree, concerning the infrequent unscheduled sessions that occur, and some of the reasons behind the voice effects, which indeed we do keep under control most of the time.

(Eyes open.) I am aware of Ruburt to some extent in the same way that he is aware of his astral form when he is traveling within it, though my awareness is much stronger, and my control is more deliberate. [...]
