We will take your physical system as an example. There is general and mass focus of all self-structures within that system, binding enough and cohesive enough so that the appearance of a permanent and all-pervading physical reality is maintained. The ego part of the structure concentrates with great intensity, directing itself within those coordinates that form physical reality.
As Seth explained, even this cohesiveness is rather an illusion. You exist at the same time within many other coordinates. A shifting of focus is quite simply the main requirement for perceiving these other coordinates. But to shift focus to them presupposes a knowledge of their reality. Otherwise only a momentary and accidental encounter with them can ever occur, as far as you are concerned egotistically.
The realities are formed by psychic intent, and the true cohesiveness is intuitive. The deep connections that occur, for example in various reincarnations, are not apparent to the ego. The connections between us, now, are far more logical than any simple cause and effect.
[...] Even those who are familiar with our material, and know the various means by which individuals create a fairly cohesive body of physical data and call it the physical universe, even these persons will say that while they agree that the individual creates the physical universe with the cooperation of others, that universe has a unity and permanence and recognizable form that the dream world does not have.
I want to make a point however, that the dream universe is as real and cohesive as your own, and that the same glue of telepathy holds it together, and gives it not only as much reality but validity in actual terms.
[...] They possess an inner familiarity, a cohesiveness that belonged to a more or less specific period, and to periods before, where they inhabited the same sort of physical universe.
So do you, viewing the seeming chaos of dream reality, wonder how I can say that similarity here occurs, and cohesiveness and actuality and comparative permanence. [...]
[...] There is a cohesiveness to the inner universe, and to the systems that are not basically physical. But this cohesiveness is based upon an entirely different set of root assumptions or agreements, and these are the keys that alone will enable you to manipulate within, or understand, other systems.
Cordellas represent the inner cohesive yet free-wheeling quality operating within all reality, that gives it both its organizing structure and its great element of spontaneity. [...]
[...] The cordellas are operating substructures of energy, with the ability to attract and repel, to become cohesive or fall apart, carrying within themselves the knowledge of their own identity, literally the self principle that allows them to retain their integrity as absolutes even while merging with others and forming subsidiary alliances.
[...] Since feeling is so often the cohesive with which mind builds, it is feeling itself which must be changed if you would find freedom from your particular plane of existence at your particular time. [...] Since feeling is a cohesive, to change it completely would hardly be of any advantage since your world of present existence would fall apart.
In actuality, since all atoms and molecules possess the potentiality to form in so many varieties, and since the atoms and molecules possess their own generalized consciousness, there is basically a strong inner cohesion and relationship between all cells and molecules, regardless of their patterned structural formation, and the human structure is connected to all other such psychio-physical constructions.
Without the determination of the inner ego, cohesion of identity would be impossible. [...]
The important point here is that identity cohesion is projected upon the human physical structure from within, that is, from the inner ego by way of the inner senses. [...]
(Pause.) Your many civilizations, historically speaking, each with its own fields of activity, its own sciences, religions, politics and art—these all represent various ways that man has used imagination and reason to form a framework through which (underlined) a more or less cohesive reality is experienced.
Conflicting beliefs about the nature of reality can bring about dilemmas in almost any form, for the individual will always try to make sense out of his or her surroundings, and try to at least see the world as a cohesive whole.
The universe expands, as I have said before, as an idea expands; and as sentences are built upon words, in your terms, and paragraphs upon sentences, and as each retains its own logic and continuity and evidence within that framework, so do all the portions of the universe appear to you also with the same cohesiveness (dash) — meaning continuity and order. [...]
To offset this, regard again (puzzled expression), the full nature of your integers and remember their relation to the factor known as p. Underscoring this is the problem of cohesives. [...]
[...] She doesn’t recall hearing about psi factors, but I had, and thought she had also at various times, without knowing what the term applied to; the same with cohesives, conciliatory fashion, etc., although these would be much less common to us.
