(Then a moment later:) Chapter 1: “The Natural Body and Its Defenses.”

(The other morning in a burst of inspiration Jane wrote out a full outline, including chapter breakdown, of the book she intends to write after she finishes the first book on the Seth Material, and the book on dreams that she now has well under way.

(Jane has finished her ESP book for all practical purposes, and has been looking through the Seth material for a suitable quote to end the final chapter. [...]

[...] The session had quite a different effect on Rob, however, as you’ll see in the next chapter.

Now, briefly last evening, in a chapter of my own book, we were discussing probabilities and I want you to understand a few points along these lines. [...]

3. In Chapter 14 of The Seth Material, Jane and Seth gave a humorous-serious account of her out-of-body encounter with a demon, or “black thing,” of her own creation.

(Jane said she thought Seth might have gone into the survival material because of some of the marginal notes made on her ESP manuscript by our unknown friend, particularly on the chapters dealing with reincarnation.

(The group referred to is the Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship, New York City chapter; the discussed meeting is set for October 20.

[...] As of now we have so far mailed the letter to Eleanor re Rich Bed; phoned the ad about a house in to the Elmira paper; obtained the paint for Jane’s workroom; put up new curtains in her room; begun inquiries about the duplication of the letter for readers who write to Jane; packaged the first six chapters of Seth’s book to mail to Tam at Prentice-Hall tomorrow; begun to check the galleys for Oversoul Seven—all of these being items on the list we made out a couple of days ago. [...]

(We need answers concerning the rather spectacular results obtained in the 11th session because Jane is writing a chapter on this seance for the Seth book. [...]

[...] I even have the chapter presentations; and if I mention my friends you may or may not recognize yourselves, for I shall present you through my own eyes and not through Ruburt’s.

[...] This was a period in which I had a series of potent dreams that Jane has done a lot of work interpreting [including my famous dog dream of March 31, 1979], and which could easily make up several chapters in a book on the subject, if we had the time to produce it. [...]

(This occurred last Monday afternoon, August 9. Jane happened to need this bit of information for a chapter in her book, and so used it when Seth made it known. [...]
