The workings of any cell within your physical body would strike you as quite alien. [...] Each cell is an intimate part of your reality, and yet consciously you are not as familiar with it as you are with the rug upon your floor.

[...] The portion that deals with probabilities is as much a part of you as any cell within your physical body. It simply deals with different kinds of reality, and so does the cell.

[...] You might well wonder why the body consciousness does not simply rise up and cast off any threatening diseases: why would the body allow certain cells to go berserk, or outgrow themselves? [...]

Each molecule within a cell, for example, is aware of the activity of each of the other molecules, and to some extent of the stimuli that comes to the cell itself from outside it.

[...] The cells maintain their integrity by choosing one probability above the others. [...]

You are aware of pressure through touch, for instance, but in another version of that sense entirely, the cells react to air pressure. [...]

[...] He is using more nourishment, building new cells, and should be alert so that he eats however often when he feels the impulse. [...]

[...] Next it flows into our probable (physical) reality (which itself changes all the ‘time.’) We inherently possess separate pockets or pools of experience (biologically valid among the cells’ characteristics), sidepools where information collects for processing before flowing into the ‘official pool of consciousness.’

3. In the 684th session for Volume 1, Seth came through with one of my favorite statements (even if it is grammatically incorrect): “The cells precognate.” [...]

At 10:48 in the 705th session for Volume 2, see Seth’s remarks on introducing “new” genetic information into a damaged cell; a time-reversal principle is involved.

[...] The reasoning mind alone, however, cannot by itself grow even the smallest cell, or activate the life of even one molecule, yet the growth and maintenance of the body is constant.

[...] Instead, you form the physical body that you know at a deeply unconscious level with great discrimination, miraculous clarity, and intimate unconscious knowledge of each minute cell that composes it. [...]

[...] So you stand amid a constant vital commotion, a gestalt of aware energy, and you are yourselves physically composed of conscious cells that carry within themselves the realization of their own identity, that cooperate willingly to form the corporeal structure that is your physical body.

[...] For beyond this, there are still other beginnings so alien that I cannot explain them, and yet they are connected with your own life; and they find existence and expression even in the small cells within your physical flesh. [...]

[...] To the intimate knowledge of flesh and bone and cell. [...]

[...] For example, it would have to keep conscious track of all the muscles, nerves, organs, cells, molecules and atoms, while manipulating the body in space and time.

3. Here Seth refers to the way the nervous impulse passes from one neuron, or nerve cell, to the next as it traverses the body’s nervous system. [...]

1. For those who have forgotten: Chromosomes are microscopic bodies into which the protoplasmic substance of a cell nucleus separates during cell division. [...]

[...] The cells and organs have their own awarenesses, and a gestalt one. [...]

[...] The healing intelligence of her subconscious mind which created her body is now transforming every cell, nerve, tissue, muscle, and bone of her being according to the perfect pattern of all organs lodged in her subconscious mind.

We have seen that all experience is retained in electrically coded data within the cells and that the material of the cells forms about this coded experience. We have seen that the ego begins, sparked into being by the inner self, greatly influenced by heredity and physical environment; and that this ego, as it continues to exist, builds up an electrical reality of its own and forms its experiences … into the coded data within the cells.

One eye looked out upon the form —
The thigh’s spread galaxies — and saw
The burst of each cell-star that plunged
Into instant shape within the flesh.
The other eye, turned inward, glimpsed
New webworks and cocoons
Spun from thoughts and dreams that spread
Images outward with each breath.

[...] So the individuals alive upon the body of the earth at any given time fit together as beautifully as the cells do within your individual body at a particular time (most emphatically).

Now: I am not saying that the human personality is “as significant as a cell — no more and no less.”

I am saying that in a way the people alive on the body of the earth have the same kind of relationship, one to another, as the cells have one to the other.

These excerpts from Seth’s material in the 690th session, for Volume 1, furnish a close analogy to the sort of “time” available to molecular consciousness: “… biological precognition is firmly based in the chromosomes and genes, and reflected in the cells … The cells’ practically felt ‘Now’ includes, then, what you think of as past and future, as simple conditions of Nowness. [...] There is a constant give-and-take of communication between the cell as you know it in present time, and the cell as it ‘was’ in the past, or ‘will be.’”

[...] Are you physically composed of murderous cells, then, each spontaneously out to get the others? [...] If your cells did not cooperate so well, you would not be listening to this voice, and it would make no sound. [...]

[...] It had nothing to do with the propensity of certain kinds of cells to reproduce — [all cells are] imbued with the “drive” for value fulfillment — but with an overall illumination that set the conditions in which life was possible as you think of it; and at that imaginary, hypothetical point, all species became latent. [...]

[...] [An undetermined number of scientists hold creationist views, by the way, but I have no statistics to offer on how many do.] The Bible certainly advocates at least a relative immutability of species, rather than a common ancestry in which a single cell evolved into a variety of ever more complex and divergent forms. You may not be aware of the conscious nature of each atom in your body, or of the gestalt consciousness formed by those atoms as they build into cells, but it is not necessary for them, or for their own awareness of themselves, that you give them that recognition. The consciousness in the cells exists whether or not you recognize it.

[...] At this moment the cells within your body know the life conditions of any place on the planet, and compute these, ascertaining the ways in which they require action on the body’s part. Your cells are aware of the motion of the planets and of all circumstances regarding the body’s equilibrium, stability, and survival. [...]
