[...] Today, Tuesday, is my ESP class day, which means that I have a little less time for my writing, so after giving Rob the small description I intended to type a chapter of Adventures in Consciousness.⁴ I’d lost some writing time lately because of business matters, and because I was trying to catch up on the mail, so I was particularly concerned about getting back to Adventures.

[...] (Pause.) You may be appalled, but you would do well as a salesman, connected with public relations and business; that is, some of your abilities would serve you well in these fields.

With a few years’ further development, and if developments continue smoothly in your own personality, you could also do well as a particular kind of agent, dealing with writers of psychic phenomena, because of your understanding of the subject, and because of the larger knowledge of the business publishing field that you would have by that time.

[...] The second girl, with whom you are now involved, has been four times a male, and in the past involved in business administration of various types and kinds; always as an administrator and one who gave orders.

(Several times recently Seth has told us we are going to get ESP news or correspondence, having to do with business, from someone, a male, in Wisconsin.)

(By the time the landlord realized we couldn’t shovel our own way out, he couldn’t get his own plow into the driveway, nor could he hire help; everyone was busy. [...]

[...] He is worried that the illegal tax methods in connection with his business will be discovered.

It will involve all levels of your realities, and include also your business dealings, your joint attitudes toward Prentice, the reasons for them, and the new framework in which you will be working.

Prentice represented, to you (me), the world you had to protect yourself from, and be on guard against in the business world that had never understood your father—the unartistic, ever out to ruin the artistic product through ignorance, and lack of sensitivity.

(Here Seth refers to Bill, who leaves for Syracuse tomorrow on a business trip for the Elmira newspaper.)
