You will note that I said brain rather than mind. [...]

Man’s brain was always the size that it is now —

The brain itself never sleeps, of course, since it’s endlessly involved in running the vastly complicated physiological functions of the body. [...]

In a manner of speaking, the brain put visual information together so that the visual contents of the world were not as stationary as they are now. [...]

[...] The individual will find himself surrounded by more stimuli than he knows what to do with—but using this as impetus he will learn to handle it, using portions of the brain that now lie latent.

Using an analogy again, the brain is quite capable of operating on innumerable “frequencies,” each presenting its own picture of reality to the individual, each playing upon the physical senses in a certain manner, organizing available data in its own specialized way, and each dealing somewhat differently with the body itself and with the contents of the mind.

The brain, because of its purpose and its close connection to camouflage manipulation, does not have a primary existence within the electrical universe, although it has a secondary existence within it because of its connection to the purely electrical mind.

[...] The dolphins are a case in point.⁹ In your line of probability they are oddities, yet even now you recognize their great brain capacity, and to some dim extent glimpse the range of their own communication.

At one time on your earth, in the way you look at time, there were many such species: water dwellers, with brain capacities as good as and better than your own. [...]
