Probably we would have preferred that our friends, two young men and two young ladies, do more background reading before meeting Seth; on the other hand, with the coming publication of Jane’s book we have been somewhat curious as to the reaction of interested friends to Seth. [...] Our friend Lois took some photos of Jane recently, for use on the dust jacket of Jane’s ESP book. The photos my brother Loren took were also to be used in connection with publicity for the ESP book.

[...] There was a fine distinction to be made here, since both Lois and my brother were involved taking pictures of Jane for the same purpose: Jane’s ESP book. [...]

This book is concerned with the nature of the unknown reality, and the ways in which it can become known.

[...] With three Seth books on the market now, the number of letters Jane receives weekly has increased considerably, and evidently will continue to grow. [...]

8. Strange — but recently I visually approached the idea of interrelated consciousnesses in two pen-and-ink drawings for Jane’s book of poetry, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time: I incorporated humanoid features on large rocks. [...]

[...] As I worked at the gallery or at my book or did my house chores, the last session kept coming to mind. [...]

[...] We used the bookcases for the books on psychic phenomena that we were beginning to collect and started some potted philodendron vines between the dowels. [...]

[...] Only now, writing this book, did I recall entertaining them.

[...] The front room was my work-mood room, with all my poetry books predominating and no curtains, very spare. [...]

[...] I can already see how her healing is going to influence future books, or notes I may write—for I’ll have to explain how the diagnosis of arthritis came about in the medical profession, how erroneous it was, and why we went along with it for so long, while all the time knowing, or at least feeling, that it wasn’t so, that there was more involved than Jane having “an incurable disease.” [...]

[...] After break, Seth discussed my painting and gave some material for others who aren’t involved with this book. [...]

[...] You only recognize the physical materializations, but as mentioned earlier in this book, you send pseudoforms of yourself out from yourself of which you are not aware; and this is completely aside from the existence of astral travel or projection, which is a much more complicated affair.

[...] She was reading a book on the life of Edgar Cayce when her shoulder began to ache. Suddenly she had the urge to leaf through the book to a paragraph she’d noticed earlier on yoga exercises for bursitic shoulders. [...]

[...] After sitting at my desk disconsolately for an hour, trying to get my mind on my book, I decided to take a nap. [...]

I won’t go into the out-of-body implications of that experience until later in this book; here, I’d like to emphasize, instead, the mood-changing elements of the “dream” and what it meant to me. [...]

(Jane had declared before the session began tonight that she thought Seth would go into our house affairs in connection with probable realities, but that such material wouldn’t go with his book dictation on the families of consciousness. [...]

You may or may not use this in the book as you prefer — that is, dictation can continue smoothly without this passage, or it can be inserted at this place.

[...] (With emphasis:) It would take a book to probe into the probabilities alone being roused at this time, for example, by all of those interested in either of those two houses.

[...] It’s also important to keep in mind what Seth told us in his first delivery for the 735th session: “Each personality carries traces of other characteristics besides those of the family of consciousness to which he or she might belong … A book would be needed to explain the dimensions of the psyche in relationship to the various families of consciousness.”

[...] The Three Faces of Eve is an excellent title for the book, since the ego may quite legitimately be compared to the face that the identity turns toward objective reality, or the living mask that it dons.

You see, for years Ruburt hid himself from his mother, and as stated earlier he felt that in giving her his book he had opened himself to her. [...]

[...] After the book’s publication however the effects multiplied. [...]

Ruburt on the other hand felt he could use psychic books as a means of livelihood, for in the books at least he felt the masculine and female tendencies merge; the intellect making use of the intuitive information.
