[...] We met Patty in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in September, 1970, while we were on tour for Jane’s own book, The Seth Material.

(A note: Patty read the late chapters of Seth’s book but Jane did not. [...]

[...] As I explain in the Introductory Notes for his book, we decided to publish Seth’s very long manuscript for “Unknown” in two volumes. [...]

(At the same time, Seth marched right along on this book, Psyche. [...]

[...] The mass deaths at Jonestown (in November 1978) took place during our long layoff from book dictation, but Seth began discussing the affair almost at once in our private material, as Jane described in her own portion of the opening notes for Session 831. [...]

[...] Such interchanges among Jane, Seth, and me—and among books—often take place.

(Today I read the deleted session for June 24, 1973—one of those in the 1973 deleted book that Seth suggested I read, in the last session. [...]

Dr. Barnard was kind enough to write a letter to the publishers of this present book, giving his opinions and mentioning that session (Number 303). [...]

Shortly after their visit, my book, How to Develop Your ESP Power, finally appeared in the bookstores. [...]

One day I met Mrs. Brian, a former student who dropped out of class due to illness, who told me she had read a newspaper article about this present book that appeared in the local paper. [...]

For one thing, Seth does not agree on the existence of one historical Christ, though he grants the legitimacy of the Christ spirit—as you will see later in this book. [...]

This can easily be proven by a simple experiment with any small object, such as a book of matches. No one of you can see a book of matches from exactly the same perspective, for the simple reason that it does not exist for you except in the self-perspective in which you create it.

(Now Jane picked up a book of paper matches and held it up before John and me as she paced back and forth.)

[...] I was rather tired this morning but began work on my ESP book as usual. [...]

2. Indeed, Jane was to hold several sessions before we realized that Seth had begun a new book — see the 683rd session in this section. [...] For some months we’d known her death was coming, and so had arranged our affairs around that irrevocable event; I spent weeks preparing the final manuscript of Personal Reality for the publisher; Jane conducted her ESP class whenever she could, and worked on her two books, Adventures in Consciousness and Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time. [...]

[...] She’s been working on the project for some time along with her other books, and it may develop into more than one volume.

Idea Construction did serve as a psychic trigger, however; it led Jane to her outline for How to Develop Your ESP Power (see Note 2 for Seth’s Preface in this book), then to the beginning of the Seth sessions two months later. [...]

[...] The bulk of it is often applicable to others, and eventually she may write a book about the whole subject. [...]

[...] If you read books in which you are told that a certain object always represents such and such, then you are like the artist who accepts the critic’s idea of the symbols in his own work. [...]

[...] As mentioned earlier in this book (in the 627th session in Chapter Six), you may become hard of hearing because you firmly believe that this must come with age. [...]

As mentioned in Seth Speaks, my earlier book, great distinctions are made between your waking and sleeping states. (See the 532nd session in Chapter Eight of that book.) They are neatly divided, with little effort really made to relate the two. [...]

[...] If many of the conditions we have mentioned in this book are less than ideal in your society, then you can as an individual begin to change those situations. [...]

Do the exercises in my book, The Nature of Personal Reality, to discover what conditions of a mental nature, or of psychological origin, are causing you distress. [...]

[...] However, that pile of letters means that people are reading our books, and for that we’re grateful indeed. [...]

[...] If joy has always been one of the characteristics of earth experience, so has suffering, and the subject will be covered in this book. [...]

Ruburt’s book should include, as it will, a photograph of Ruburt. [...]

Now all of this certainly sounds unscientific to many people, yet most of my readers have already picked up a different version of the nature of science, or they would not be reading this book to begin with. [...]

(Jane finished typing her book, Psychic Politics, and has been receiving more material on the manuscript she now calls The World View of Paul Cézanne. [...]

[...] There are innumerable books written with instructions, each proclaiming the said methods to be the proper ones. [...]

Another improvement, a considerable one, can shortly be expected in Ruburt’s physical condition, and I believe rather unexpected word concerning a book.

(The data at the beginning of the session re unexpected word concerning a book reminded Jane of an amusing dream she had last night, and which she has written down per usual: She dreamed that her science-fiction novel, The Rebellers, was being made into a movie.
