Now: The last two sessions, more or less on evolution, can be included in this book, and serve as the opening sessions of a new chapter, entitled: “The Universe and the Psyche.”

For that matter, an athlete may have a great zest for motion and an impatience with reading, caring not what within the body makes it move as long as its performance is superb — while an invalid with great book knowledge about all of the body’s parts is quite unable to physically perform in a normal manner.

[...] In Chapter 9 of his book Lee describes a double dream experience of his that also contained strong precognitive elements. [...]

[...] In one of them I’m on a troop train [in World War II] traveling to Karachi, India, and in the other I’m asleep in a cold barrack. I wrote in the book that ‘I was conscious of every movement, sound, and odor on the train, yet conscious that I was in a barrack that was very chilly. [...]

Both of you operate best in your private worlds, but the books vastly extend that world, and represent a far greater communication with others than you presently understand. [...]

I think that the idea of mixups in the hospital came from a book Jane and I have been reading the past week, written by a doctor who warns against medicine, delivery rooms, the whole bit, in the establishment practice of medicine. [...]

[...] On a few occasions he found it negative early in the game, but any criticism later of his relationship with publishers was taken to be a symbol of an anger with him because of his books, period.

Now our friend, Ruburt, is not about to go for all this sexual hanky-panky that is described in this precious book, but the man who wrote the book picked up his information from the inner self and then he made a story about it. [...]

(Today Jane was quite upset because she still hasn’t received a letter from her publisher, Frederick Fell, even though Mr. Fell reassured her about the ESP book when she telephoned him last Monday, October 5, the day of the 195th session. [...]

[...] Jane and I have been trying to think of a good title for her book dealing with Seth and the material, since she has begun work on it. [...]

[...] A novelist, being himself or herself writing a book, will nevertheless imaginatively live the actions of all of its characters—the villain, the hero, the madman, the saint or whatever—and a true creative gestalt is involved.
