Terry, who puts Jane through the hydro bath, told her she looks well and was easier to move. And Mary Ann, who changed Jane’s dressings in room 330, said the bedsores look much better in their healing.

The exercises built up. “Something’s going on inside the right leg,” she said after a few minutes. “You can’t see it, but I couldn’t have done it last week.”.’ Heavy breathing. I could see her hips moving, though, which was in itself unusual.
