“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(After the last session, which was held six days ago now, I realized I’d forgotten to ask Seth a question that had been on my mind for some weeks: I wanted his comments on Jane’s swollen feet. Her right foot is especially swollen, including the instep and the ankle. I hoped that what he might have to say would ease my concern —although I haven’t heard Jane mention the condition at all.

(Obviously, no sessions were held last Monday or Tuesday evenings. Instead, Jane has been working steadily on her “Manifesto from the Sinful Self” that she began just a week ago. It’s a very remarkable document; she’s now on page 26, and feels there’s more to come. “It would make a great chapter in a book,” I said yesterday. “Or maybe it’ll turn out to be a project in itself.” Jane said she’d see. I wondered if perhaps she’d already begun her next big endeavor without even being concerned about what she might do next. Certainly her paper is extremely creative, including insights also as it does about her relationship with Seth.

(Jane has gotten up with me the last two mornings, and has taken naps when I do. She is doing well in the bathroom with the new chair, but still feels momentary panic when she has to move from her chair onto the bed; I help her do this.

(I’ve picked up her new reading glasses at Jim Adams’s office, but she hasn’t been wearing them because they need adjusting. JA was out of town, due back last Monday. Jane left a message that he should call her, but she hasn’t heard. I suggested she call again tomorrow.

(Long pause—one minute finally—at 8:42. Jane leaned back on the couch with her eyes almost closed; it seemed they were turned up so I could see the whites.)

(8:47 PM. This, then, must be the shortest session Jane has held in years. “I told him that he could have the session be as long as he wanted,” Jane said as soon as she was out of trance. “But I do feel like things are going on.... Strange.”)
