(At 9:00 she told me she thought Seth would discuss my questions #5 and 6, about black-and-white thinking, and touch upon “that article” about micro metal-bending, or psychokinetic metal bending. I was surprised to hear this, for even though I’d been quite interested in the article I’d forgotten it for the moment. It appeared in the PSI News bulletin of the Parapsychological Association. Vol. 4, No. 1 for January 1981. She’d read the article this noon at lunch when I called her attention to it. Until I’d first read the piece a couple of days ago, I hadn’t realized that much progress had been made scientifically in the detection of psychic metal-binding on a micro scale. The presentation of information seemed to be very straight-forward, though I’m sure that it will be attacked by the skeptics in a variety of ways. Perhaps we’ll learn more about the situation as it develops. I’m attaching a copy of the article to this session, for Seth came through with some unique insights concerning healing and micro metal-bending, or PKMB.)

His body is changing at microscopic levels—highly important. (Pause.) The major issue is indeed the reminder that he can trust his own native rhythm and motion—that it is safe to express himself in his natural life. The main point also is to be relieved of comparison with a super image, with thoughts of what he should be, and an acknowledgement of his own (underlined) feelings about any event or situation. He did indeed identify with his own tensions, so that as these are relieved he is sometimes frightened.

(9:56 PM. Jane’s delivery had been quite good, although she hadn’t appeared to be too comfortable in her chair. I explained to her that this session offered valuable clues as to how to use suggestion: If one could learn how to direct the suggestions —even through the use of misdirection—much could be accomplished. The use of that misdirection would certainly have it funny connotations, too, I thought.

(I also think there are clear connections between Seth’s material this evening and that given in Appendix 4 in Volume 1 of “Unknown.” In that material I quoted Jane’s own material on other “sidepools” of neurological activity. I wrote later in “Unknown” that I thought Appendix 4 contained some of the best material in that work, and I still think so.)
