The upsetting alterations of consciousness occur mainly when Ruburt’s energies are being utilized elsewhere. On physical levels is then when he becomes most aware of the lack of his usual energy, or of available needed resources, which are so connected with thyroid activity.

Ruburt needs to talk over his fears with you, quite “normal” ones. It will help them fade faster—and if you can, lovingly reassure him rather than act like a fine professor with a stubborn student (with some humor). The fears largely have to do with the medical establishment’s prognosis.

The two of you in fact together, briefly, even for a short time discussing those ideas, can generate some of the best creative work that either of you have ever known.

You were of great benefit, you see, tonight, in actively mentioning the session—providing that stimuli, when Ruburt thought at least that his energies would not allow it.
