(At first I couldn’t believe my eyes. The broken glass had catapulted toward Jane, yet she sat unharmed by the razor-like edges. Underneath the table I found a large jagged piece of glass, close to a foot across, propped up against the inner table leg where I usually sit. In some strange quirk of speed and physics, this knife-edged piece had not only been blown into the kitchen, but had managed to turn nearly a right angle, missing Jane, in order to come to rest opposite her legs against the table’s leg. It could have severely cut her.

(Jane became so relaxed as session time approached that she told me several times that she’d have to put off the session until tomorrow night. At the same time, she had a lot of material in mind from Seth—on the glass experience; a dream I’d had on August 1, in which I’d found her lying on the floor in the bathroom doorway; and a fairly strong earthquake that had struck south of San Francisco, California, this afternoon. Seth, she said somewhat wonderingly, planned to tie all of these episodes together. They seemed to make up a most unlikely combination. Jane also sensed more information pertaining to my questions of a few sessions ago, on the relationship of disease with human beings.

(9:53.) Because of the changes in routine, you “forgot” to put the stopper at the door. You must remember that you have an inner knowledge of all weather conditions. So you were both at certain levels aware of the approaching storm.
