(Jane became so relaxed as session time approached that she told me several times that she’d have to put off the session until tomorrow night. At the same time, she had a lot of material in mind from Seth—on the glass experience; a dream I’d had on August 1, in which I’d found her lying on the floor in the bathroom doorway; and a fairly strong earthquake that had struck south of San Francisco, California, this afternoon. Seth, she said somewhat wonderingly, planned to tie all of these episodes together. They seemed to make up a most unlikely combination. Jane also sensed more information pertaining to my questions of a few sessions ago, on the relationship of disease with human beings.

With Ruburt rising in the night, sometimes you vaguely worried whether or not he could navigate properly and sometimes when you are out of the house you also wonder: is he safe alone? Your dream brought your fears to the surface of your mind, and when those fears became conscious both of you determined to show yourselves that Ruburt was indeed safe and protected. Period.
