(Starting yesterday, Jane began her walking exercises with the typing table by using a pillow under her arms. This has the effect of raising her posture an inch or so, and seemingly has produced immediate results in terms of a much-improved posture, better balanced and freer. She must have been ready to make the suggestion about the pillow, we thought. Already she’s talking about using something on the table to help her stand even straighter. Her devotion to the exercises is certainly showing results.

I have a suggestion, and it is that you mentally speak to what I will call “the basic creative self”—and remember, these are terms. That “self” is a portion of your being that creates all characteristics, and that can therefore help unify them. It is also the Framework 2 self, but the word “creative” is more potent for the two of you to use. It knows of its innate goodness.
