(As for myself, I feel somewhat better than I have been so far this month. The siege seems endless. I haven’t asked the pendulum many questions at all since the last ones I recorded on April 21. My stomach still bothers, but on a much-reduced level; the groin/left testicle seems all but clear at times; occasionally the discomfort returns on a reduced basis also.

(All of this delayed our sitting for the session until 10:07. By then, Jane said, she couldn’t remember much of Professor Moorcroft’s letter, but I told her it didn’t matter. “I’m still wiped out about Yale,” she said. She remarked more than once about her failure to win the Yale prize for younger poets in years past, Tam’s attending Yale, and so forth. “Here I thought we were going to have a nice peaceful week, with some sessions on Mass Reality, maybe, but now, who knows....”

(I didn’t think anything immediate would develop, I told her, nor did I expect the session tonight would be on me. Jane, understandably, had questions about recognition, now that Yale had expressed willingness to accept her work. That is, at least rejection wasn’t implied, but I must admit that both of us are very cautious about expecting any sort of real acceptance via academia; certainly not these days. Our main goal in wanting a home for the Seth material—or for a lifework, really—is one of preservation for future use. We don’t think that Yale can have much of an idea of what’s involved with Jane’s abilities, or the subject matter of the Seth material.

(Pause.) Your spontaneous selves in that area, relatively speaking, now, (underlined twice) were allowed their expressions. Creativity was not inhibited by a certain form but (louder), in a unique way was freed from form. It was allowed to leap beyond the boundaries of painting or writing, to escape even the temporal frames of your present personalities, and to form an original psychic or psychological structure—a new psychological art, if you prefer—that could be contained in none of the arts as they are known. You were free enough to be daring, and you took this upon yourselves out of your own sense of curiosity and wonder.

I did not start out writing books, but speaking to you for your edification. Had I begun writing books, Ruburt would have been appalled, thinking that I was invading his province. In this area of your lives, however, and relatively speaking again, you have allowed your creative spontaneous selves some freedom. You have behaved gallantly (with amusement) and well.

In the beginning the sessions were private. They have attained other dimensions now, as they were meant to. But as far as the sessions themselves are concerned, I want to stress the ease with which they naturally occur, the lack of strain. You allow yourselves to be.

(To me:)Your body wanted relaxation, but you believed that relaxation was, under the circumstances, wrong, and often when your body began to relax in the past you automatically tightened it, as another might straighten his tie to be more presentable. Relaxation leads to spontaneity. It allows you to be freely what you are. When you are tense you impede mental, psychic, and artistic spontaneity, when you relax you are open to intuitive events.

There are almost always hidden variables, but they are of little consequence here. Every visible or invisible particle has consciousness according to its own scale of reality. Each particle, visible or invisible, is awareized energy. This is most difficult to explain, but like, say, the units of some multidimensional computer, each visible or invisible particle carries within it the knowledge of all other particles, including their positions, and their probable positions.

(10:53.) Give us a moment.... (Long pause.) A very brief note in terms of significant but small connections with Framework 2: Ruburt’s attempts to get the Yale prize, Tam’s schooling at Yale, and your present experience with the papers—these simply hint at connecting clues involved with probabilities, an interesting subject that I will get into at some time.
