You also both felt that you needed isolation from society, and a position from which you could examine it with some solitude, while still maintaining contacts—and while still affecting it through your works. If you really do understand that you live in a safe universe, you need no such protection. If you emphasize your natural selves, and your relationship with the dusk and the dawn, and with the earth itself, you will feel free in that natural world.
