“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(The second bit of news is that Rusty met the president of Prentice-Hall recently. This individual—again, name not recalled—listened to a talk Rusty gave in an auditorium, explaining some of Seth’s ideas along with her own interest in the tarot. After the program Prentice-Hall’s president told Rusty that listening to her had helped him better understand Jane’s own work. But this meeting took place last summer, and we’ve had no feedback from anyone at Prentice-Hall.

(The second event took place starting at 8:15 PM this evening. We were visited by a youngish couple from London, Canada. They too had knocked at our door earlier —while we were napping this afternoon. The knocking woke me up, but I saw them pulling out of the driveway so let them go. Jane and I ate supper with the lights off and the blinds drawn, but by the time she went to work Jane decided to turn on the lights in her writing room, and see them should they return. A most fortunate decision on her part.

(In a long conversation that Jane and I found hard to follow at times, Carol described how she’d put together elements from various philosophies and belief systems in order to get what she wanted. In some fashion, Jane and I thought as we listened to her, she was able to make it work for her. I kidded her, also, about “saying the heck with the details,” I remember.)

I am trying to give you different kinds of examples, showing how work is practically done in Framework 2, that then appears in Framework 1 as physical events.

(10:40.) Give us a moment.... You must remind yourselves that these methods work. Your creative work and all of the other elements of your lives show this, including your financial security. The fear that the methods will not work in any one regard inhibits the process—as if our young woman said “I am sure I will not meet the Buttses, although I want to.” Then the connection would not have been nearly as strong in Framework 2.

In its own way, the James connection happened in the same fashion, for your desires and beliefs go out in all directions in time. Your context outlive your deaths. The particular connections here are too complicated to try to explain, but they do involve James’s intense interest during his life in the future of his own work, and in the state of the psychic field of the future.

Hal works more directly with the body. It is rather that he accepted some of James’s questions as he understood them through his teaching, and allowed these to merge with questions of his own. It is as if you hand on challenges or questions to others, which they accept for their own reasons, and hence follow through for you in areas in which you might be highly interested, even though in some cases they might have been sidelines in your own work.

(11:56 PM. As I typed the session the next day, I told Jane I was quite enthused by it. Somehow the two incidents described, involving Rusty and Hal, and Carol and Fred, had served to impress upon me the validity of Seth’s ideas about Frameworks 1 and 2 in ways that the intellectual understanding of those concepts alone hadn’t done. I found myself trying out the concepts as I worked—and they worked. I may regard the session as a key or breakthrough session, then. I told Jane I wanted to discuss it thoroughly with her when I had it finished. It seems that we can put the concepts of the frameworks to use in all areas of daily life, reinforce longtime goals, etc.

(It may be that I’m quite intrigued by the understanding that in Framework 2 one doesn’t have to be concerned with the details—that desired goals are being arrived at in ways we may not easily grasp—but that the work is being accomplished. This understanding, faith, if you will, in such a process can then be seen as quite a leap in understanding for me, with my love of detail.
