“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(After supper tonight Jane became aware of a noticeable straightening of her right leg—the shortest one —so that it appeared to equal her left leg. I measured the angle of change, of opening up, as we talked and saw a good increase. Over the last two days she’s stood taller walking, so this change had been in the works... Her right side generally has been improving from head to toe also. She has walked faster at times, and there has been improvement in the musculature definition of her knees.

(Earlier today I’d asked Jane if Seth would comment on my chest symptoms, re causes that I’d arrived at through using the pendulum. It appears that my own hassles are related to my fears that Jane’s improvements may not continue. More is involved, however, and we’ve obtained considerable insights in recent sessions. Today the pendulum linked my reactions to certain foods to the chest symptoms, but these I question.)

You find yourselves landowners somewhat. You see others shoveling their walks themselves. You disapprove of yourself for not doing so. You feel you could not do so—that you are not physically that vigorous (as I told Jane today). This is symbolic of course of your attitudes. For you feel that the life-styles are completely different, and polarized.

(10:28. “Well, once again we find ourselves at odds with society,” I said to Jane as we talked. “This time it’s over exercise and related ideas. I don’t know whether to get mad at our friends, or ourselves, or both.” Actually I felt pretty resentful about the whole situation. I guess; it seemed that Jane and I were incredibly dense about understanding what had been going on for the past decade. I remarked about the opinions of others when they read our deleted material after our deaths, for instance, whereupon Jane said that more than once she’d had the idea of destroying all our personal material when we were older.

(By way of contrast, I want to add here that this week Jane has been notified by Prentice-Hall of their most enthusiastic reception of her children’s book, Emir. Not only that, it appears that Prentice-Hall may have found at the same time the ideal illustrator for the work; black-and-white copies of sample illustrations have been sent to Jane, done by the female artist, with Tam’s assurances that the color is brilliant.

(In addition, there is the interesting news from Alan Neuman, regarding his giving Seven to a well-known movie director, as well as showing it to another agent, etc. Jane has records of this activity, but I wanted to mention it here.

(All of these events are clear-cut examples of the operation of Framework 2, I told Jane—including her obvious physical improvements. Perhaps we are learning—slowly. Resume at 10:35.)

All of this is connected with the chest difficulties. The food is not basically related, except as it reflects other issues (as I told Jane this afternoon). Those are relatively shallow, but do operate—that certain foods are good for the body and others are not—that heart disease is connected with cholesterol and dairy products, while skim milk is innocent. The chest difficulty reminds you of heart trouble, and you react negatively then to whole milk.

(11:34 PM. Jane had “just slightly that sicky feeling” in her stomach, as she sometimes does when the material is particularly good. She immediately turned on television to get her mind off the feeling. I thought the session was excellent.)
