(This material is from the beginning of the 637th session. I asked if Seth could comment on the fact that F. Fell had canceled, or postponed, the appearance of the paperback edition of Jane’s ESP Power. We’ve learned this is the case through various people who have written to Jane—they had written the publisher. In the deleted session for October 2, 1972, Seth told us the “paperback will do very well, however.” This was before the postponement happened. I thought our own attitudes might have caused it. Of course, we have not heard from F. Fell.

He suspects that others have some difficulty, that they do not understand themselves sufficiently, and add to their own problems through putting to use the methods in his first such book. He did not want it (in quotes) “flooding the market,” used by people who would follow the techniques and then write for help.
There is a compassion, a jovial yet understanding one, that I can feel for such activities that is more difficult for you to experience, but in many cases the drama—the gods or devils who seem (underlined) to speak through the board, the sense of importance felt by the participators, the heightened emotional activity—all of these provide often, rich elements of experience otherwise lacking from a mundane daily existence.
A framework is also then self-provided in which deeper questions of personality, life and being are worked out at the specific level of the individual’s experience. They are, such people, far better off than those who have no frameworks in which to see and experience their own greater experience in whatever terms. Even the (in quotes) “distortions” are necessary elements to their growth.
