(9:25. “I’ve been doing something else,” she said after a lengthy pause. “Wait a minute... Then I was behind my head. I rushed down my own spinal cord, into my body. Then I saw a lot of little tiny men. This is hilarious. They were inside my knees, with hoses, washing out my knees with crystal clear, pure water. Then they went to the back of my neck... Now they’re climbing up the bones of my spinal column and straightening them out and doing things...”

(“Now I feel really big—like that figure. Oh, I’m getting really bigger... like I’m really big and light like a balloon.” She smiled at 9:30. “And now these little men’ve got little things like trowels, and they’re taking scoops of white stuff out of my body and throwing it away. They spray something on the part first, that makes this white stuff soft, then they scoop it out.”

(Jane had laughed, but now she sobered. “They’re real tiny; they’re building what looks like scaffolds in the backs of both of my knees. Now they’ve got bushels of blood, fresh blood, and they’re throwing it into my veins... And now they’re changing electrical fixtures in the back of my spine; and now my knees are lighting up....”

(9:40. “This must be my astral leg; it’s falling back and forth from the knee; the heel touches my spine, which I can’t do.... Now the little men are doing it with my right leg, but they’re having more trouble with it than with the left one. But now they’ve got it. I’m getting a funny feeling now, like I’m almost physically up off the floor, in a sitting position—I know I’m not—but it’s almost as though the chair wasn’t there.”

(Pause at 10 PM. “I got too conscious of what I was doing,” Jane said, “and of the music upstairs. But my hands feel so nice and warm. It’s the first time I’ve been warm in three days.”

(“The images with the snakes and hands was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen,” she said.
