I have been telling you this all along, if you recall, that your financial situation was changing.

The change, while admittedly advantageous, reflects the fact that people are being helped, and that in our way we are able to help them change their picture of reality for the better, and to enlarge their understanding.

In my book—the next one—I am going to discuss more about the nature of personal beliefs. Your beliefs, that artists and writers were poor, were quite conscious. You accepted them. When you changed them your reality began to change.

I want each of you to write a list, yourself—and this involves work—a list of your conscious ideas about yourself, your conscious beliefs. You will find that some of these conflict with others. I then want you to make a list of your conscious beliefs regarding each other, and you are then to discuss these. That will also be one of the exercises I will give in my book to others.

Your own work is progressing, as you know, and by leaps and bounds. I will have more to say about this later on. If you would examine your own beliefs, you would realize why you waited this long, and I am talking about conscious beliefs.

Now, you both (underlined) take it for granted that Ruburt cannot live a normal life. That is your belief at this time, and you had better change it—both of you—for he can—

—so change your habits. Set up your life situation about a normal pattern, and because Ruburt has lost a clear idea of what this is you can help him here. Your financial situation is increasing beyond your early dreams, because of a change in belief—so begin acting as if the normal pattern exists. Set your life up in that way and it will be. Even you do not realize how it is restricted.

Now. Beliefs: you felt that the discussion was needless because Ruburt could not make it anyway, physically. (The TV show.) Ruburt could make it physically—maybe not in the condition you would like, but he could appear on the show. Do you see the difference?
