“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Just before the session Jane told me that Seth could give us what she called The Christ Book at any time. In last Monday’s deleted session Seth had included a section on Jerusalem, which I’ve included in the records as the 678th session for September 3, 1973. Seth told us we could have more on Jerusalem and related events whenever we want it, or have the time, so presumably the Christ Book idea stems from that. A good title.)

Working on his book today (Aspects), Ruburt made some important connections. I will put these into context, and add other information that he did not get on his own.

He was not walking properly by a long shot, but he wanted to get up, and he walked as well barefooted as with shoes. You were surprised, and voiced approval. He began to write notes for his book as soon as breakfast was over, and before the table was cleared. He felt suddenly comparatively free.

A good deal of what I will say explains the morning episodes. Since I am dealing with this particular area I will not include other issues. For the book he was exploring creativity and other ideas of work and play. Long ago you first used the word “work” in reference to your painting, and to Ruburt’s writing. In the material given and given, the reasons are there as to why he latched onto some of your ideas—so I will not go into those here.

Seven came precisely because it was free of all contract connotations, and so at the time did Aspects. My books so far were hidden creative goodies, inserted instead of books either contracted or to be contracted, and they were free of the work context.

Each day became a battle to turn play into work, structure it, and make it personally and socially acceptable. Yet creativity kept escaping the work definition—in my books, Seven and Sumari; and he even felt guilty about Sumari poetry in work hours, for it might not fulfill work’s requirements, produce money and so forth.

Now that is enough for this evening, but highly important. You can have more at our next session. You can have more material on Jerusalem or Christ now, or when you want it. You can have the Christ book when you want it. But the same applies for any other material you want from me.
