Now—I want to have a quiet chat with both of you, even though I do most of the talking.

[... 9 paragraphs ...]

Ruburt did exceedingly well, considering: his reaction (smiling) to a new “big” (in quotes) editor. Now give me a moment, for some of this material I want you to have now.

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

Now. As far as Aerofranz is concerned.

(A note: I read this session to Jane after it was over, which I seldom do. When I was through she surprised me by saying, “Good. Now I can get rid of my symptoms because I’m getting out of the occult field. Now I don’t have to go on any of those shows as a psychic,” etc.

(I for one had never thought of Jane’s symptoms as having such a cause, but...I am still puzzled by the worsening of her symptoms when we got back home after being on tour to publicize The Seth Material, in September of 1970. Now we can see that she is getting into the regular trade-book market. Eleanor Friede and Dick Bach both stressed this. Tam Mossman is here as I write this. He too has agreed to do all advertising for Jane’s books in the regular trade-book field, rather than the occult.)

[... 1 paragraph ...]

(At this writing, October 3, Tam has expressed his desire to contract Jane now for Adventures In Consciousness. Jane has the manuscript half done, perhaps. Tam’s statement was quite unexpected by us. Jane had no plans to show him the manuscript. Yet in the course of their discussion this afternoon about business affairs, the script came into focus. After supper Jane said to me, in effect: “I don’t know how we do it. It goes on at some level between us, beneath consciousness—this thing of deciding what we’re going to do next.”)

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

For now do not do shows. The books are selling well, and will be selling better. Your position as not being publicity seekers works strongly to your advantage now, as far as Seth Speaks and The Seth Material is concerned. This will not necessarily be the case with Oversoul Seven. Do you see the difference?

[... 1 paragraph ...]

We will discuss that later on. There is no need now.

Seagull is a different kind of a book. Console can freely speak about it in public, because it carries within itself its own lovely camouflage. A series of shows now however would mitigate against what we are trying to do. Do you see the difference?

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

Now Seagull may be involved, but you will also handle your own end of the financial stick—that is, you will also be able to contribute financially.

[... 1 paragraph ...]

Now he was a student of yours, as Nebene.

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

Now, I will make myself plainer.

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

Now there is a connection between Oversoul 7, and the young, sometimes bungling young soul—Ruburt’s creative sparkling, spontaneous self and Aerofranz. Do you feel the connection?

[... 4 paragraphs ...]

Now Eleanor is also, and the sometimes delightful snobbery in Aerofranz finds its mirror in Eleanor’s connections. There are no accidents. None of you are strangers. To some extent Aerofranz will also be caught up in this, considered therefore a better editor.

[... 6 paragraphs ...]

Your paintings, in a few years, now, will be in some demand, and you will find yourself quite spontaneously doing multidimensional portraits.

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

Now I have not given dictation this evening, for we will proceed now as things become quieter, and I wanted this information for your benefit.

[... 7 paragraphs ...]

(Add Data—October 11—call to Jane from Timothy Foote, of Time Magazine —re cover story on Dick Bach. Timothy Foote to fly here Friday, October 13, etc., to call back re plane schedules. Telling me about it—we also reread this session—Jane said it would be more than a casual mention of The Seth Material in the article, and that now she could “feel a tremendous amount of energy gathering around” the fact of Dick Bach, us, Seth, etc.
