There is material, buried in the files, that says clearly that our sessions began for many reasons—your joint desire to know, for example, and to probe together into the nature of reality. They also began because Ruburt most desperately wanted you to be well, and tuned into a greater source than usually available to that end.

(9:18. Jane had been way out. She remembered nothing, including the ringing of our phone across the hall. She was very relaxed. She also felt sick again, as she had at break during the last deleted session for November 24. She had a coughing spell. She walked better during break, though, and felt much better when the session resumed at 9:42.)

(10:00. During break we mentioned last February’s vacation in Florida, and Jane’s lack of improvement in spite of our efforts. Resume at 10:28.)

Now. A brief remark for our friend.

Tell our dear friend Eleanor to be less lovingly concerned—no one will take advantage of you unless you believe that they will. Look at the New York world and the California world with the eyes of the Seagull. Expect to find understanding and (in quotes) “real people,” and you will.

Now you cannot say that I always speak clearly. (Humorously.) And that is the end of our postcard.
