(Jane and I sat for the session as usual on Monday, May 5, but it was not held. Jane at session time was in an extremely relaxed state, and she could not bring Seth through, although we waited until 10 PM.
(Tam Mossman and his fiancée Eve had been our guests over the past weekend, May 2—4; he had heartily approved the work Jane has completed on the Seth book and we thought that this belief might have something to do with Jane’s very relaxed state. Jane said no conscious suggestions, that she was aware of, had been involved today or this evening. Tam is Jane’s editor at Prentice-Hall, Inc.
(Jane said the sensations were “like a loss of tension,” and I thought it was a general release from her symptoms, at least temporarily, plus a dissociated state. While sitting in the usual rocking chair she uses during sessions, Jane said that at times she felt as though she were outside the house, enjoying the spring air, grass, flowers, etc. She told me that at various times Seth was around during the evening while we waited, but never did come through.
(Jane experienced a remarkable release from symptoms, but even so her neck was not fully released, as she determined by testing. She had done some yoga this afternoon, but she didn’t think this had anything to do with the present state.
(The next morning, we must note, the symptoms had returned; Jane was tight and stiff, though as the day wore on they lessened.
(The session on Wednesday was held as usual, and of course we asked Seth for an explanation of Monday’s events.)

In the past the reaction would have lasted much longer however, and considering that he had it at all, he did not succumb to anything like the same extent.

As far as the Tuesday episode, in such a case recognize that negative attitudes entered in. Take it for granted they are already dissolving, and the impediment was temporary. Do not let such an episode throw you into panic. Ruburt is aware of certain thoughts that helped cause the episode, and he will tell you.
(Panic is not the right word exactly—anger would be better. I felt the episode was unnecessary. This is being typed on May 10—three days after it was held. So far Jane hasn’t said anything about what caused Tuesday’s episode.)

(10:00. This was the end of the session. I was not happy, one thing led to another, and we did not resume the session.)
