Your dream was a psychological drama. (See my dream notebook for December 6, 1967.) The water did represent the streak of life. (Pause.) The rocks represented in the past a desire for aloofness. Not only did they lead back to the water, but all other routes along them that you followed were perilous. The water, despite all, was safer than the rocks.
The man who threw in his burden ahead of time was your father. (Smile.) He did this years ago in effect, hence you passed him by, while recognizing his gesture and deciding against it. The packs represented abilities as well as burdens, you see. He was afraid of his abilities and his burdens. He could not go along with them on his back. He was afraid they would drown him. He leaped into life, denying himself the use of his abilities because of the responsibilities they entailed, hence the separation.

Your possibilities will be clearly shown, in the various works you can produce. You will choose among them. Some paintings will automatically negate others. If you do some, you will progress along certain lines rather than others. The various lines however all represent full use of your abilities, merely pointing out various lines of focus that you may choose.
They are meant to enkindle you, and program the self that you know in line with the purposes of the inner self. In themselves they represent greater development on your part, or you would not be able to perceive them. Our next session will deal with this.
