SESSION 385 (DELETED)

(Tonight Jane and I had another rather long discussion before the session, as before the last session, and once again our talk proved to be very beneficial. Once again Jane gained insights into the problems behind her symptoms, and we planned a course of action as a result; the course merely concerns a way to think about her psychic abilities, with some suggestions given to this end in a specific way.

Now, I could not give you this material earlier, for he would not allow it. It would make no impression upon him had I given it, nor would my appearance have convinced him of anything more than what he would consider his own duplicity. The session itself therefore is an indication of his progress.

The very freedom will give me more leeway in making my presence known to him. I am so a part of him during sessions you see (smile), that he cannot observe me or my presence, and this is a source of irritation to him. (Pause.

(Emphatically.) I am now you see so a part of his system at this moment that no part of his consciousness can sit aside and isolate me. He would like to isolate me and observe me. When he allows himself more freedom,he will be able to sense me in definite terms, though as a rule not during a session.

He senses my presence then, but not in terms outside of himself, you see; you can do this during sessions.

You may take your break or if you prefer you may end the session.

We will close the session. It is however a fact that I am so a part of him during sessions, that makes him doubt my independent existence. He feels the closeness, you see.

If your situations were reversed he would have had instant belief in my independent nature. Now, unless you have questions, we will end what I hope will be a most helpful session.
