You are both learning new methods and approaches, whether you realize this or not. You are learning to utilize energy in new directions. The affair that evening will affect others who were not in the room. Limited concepts of the nature of reality have already been broadened in those present, in some of their descendants, and in others to whom they will speak.

The event has ripples, you see; and yet though in your terms the event is over, it is not over, merely the first movement has begun. The energy used that evening has not begun to complete itself. (Pause.) AA (the personality inhabiting the table) is also learning. You will discover in practical terms how you move and affect physical matter before we are finished, and discover quite practically that you create it.

The nature and focus of your energy as you learn will be important in other areas. You will be able to help apparitions appear, for example, on occasion. (Jane stretched out on the divan.) You will have sufficient control over energy to make very successful projections. You will have more direct evidence for the survival of the human personality.

I will help you in certain areas. Others will help you in other areas. The energy generated continues to generate more energy, and more will be available for you both to use. The spontaneity was excellent, and Ruburt has learned to give his spontaneous self more freedom in our work.

The energy that showed itself the other evening appeared in peaks of activity, rushes in like waves, and is always present. You were tired the following evening, so that the energy seemed withdrawn and used up.

(Pat Norelli, Claire Crittenden, and Carl Watkins ate supper with Jane and me the next night, Saturday, Nov. 25. The supper, spaghetti, was a heavy one, but all of us felt a lassitude other than that possibly caused by a heavy meal. We speculated about the lack of energy for earlier in the week we had planned to go dancing Saturday night .

You learn to take advantage of the crests. Psychically you are still in that ebb, but the energy is there. Do you understand?

(Jane sat up as she spoke.) Ruburt was able to direct and use a strong amount of this energy that evening, and he was also aided by your participation. A A originally needed the emotional contact with Ruburt’s student (Venice McCullough) in order to activate within your system.

Ruburt’s clairvoyant abilities need farther development, and I will help here, for instance. Much of your own energy has been used in the situation involving yourself and Ruburt and your joint problems. His energy is now, incidentally, normal— that is, his energy is at the point where it was, but now its emergence will not be blocked as it was at that point, just before his symptoms.

It is unblocked, and will grow. To some extent you have been waiting to see how his condition would develop, and you will soon feel some release and emergence of energy on your part. Some did come, and you used it well Friday evening.

My heartiest wishes to you both. It is good for him to sleep without a pillow for a while. The personal contact last evening was good for you both. Your hands upon him— this is of benefit, and to some extent you can direct healing energy to him in this manner. Keep this in mind when there is such physical contact. This is of more benefit now than it would have been in the past, and I recommend it. I did not suggest it in the past because your own inner feelings were so confused. You could have done more harm than good, but that is over. There is a healthy interchange of energy now between you both. This is merely an impression: have Ruburt send the poetry book to a company beginning with a V or an L.
