All of this can be cleared, and no blame is to be attached to anyone. This would only compound the problem, and indeed there is no blame. There was simply ignorance.
You have both avoided many problems that could have arisen, because in those areas you were not ignorant. Ignorance implies a refusal to see, or rather an inability to see at a given time, for various reasons. Never underestimate what you have, for you have much.
