(This session is also deleted from the regular records, since it deals with personal material. Jane began speaking at a rather fast rate, with her eyes closed, as she sat on the divan.)

The message (the contents of the last session, the 367th), so far has reached the super-conscientious self. (Pause.) It is not kicking up a fuss so much as hesitating in caution. It was the spontaneous self who kicked up the fuss this afternoon, thinking: hurry, hurry, hurry, see things my way (when Jane tried to work on the dream book, unsuccessfully).

(Jane’s delivery was now getting lighter and slower, almost as though she was drifting off to sleep.)

(10:02. Jane experienced an average dissociation, she said. She felt she didn’t get as “deep” as she did last night, and her pace ended up quite a bit slower. She couldn’t get the material through in the two instances noted; in the past, she said, she wouldn’t have been aware of this, so she considered this new awareness an advancement over the past.

(Resume at 10:27. Jane again lay down on the couch, as last session.)

(Again Jane’s pace had become slower, with less inflection, sleepier, as she lay on her back on the couch. However her eyes opened occasionally and she looked at me as she spoke.)

(10:55. Jane still lay flat, quite unusual for her; she was not aware of any resistance, she said. Her eyes were closed much of the time, her voice slow and quiet, her manner rather tired.)
