There is no reason why any such development should come between the two of you. In the first place it would only develop when you were ready and entirely prepared, and such a state of readiness and preparation would not occur if you are in a frame of mind where you fear the development for the reasons you have just given.

No development would occur, or should, unless the emotional climate that involves both of you were ready for such a development. On our young bride’s part... a spontaneity in passivity. Allowed to be passive you feel free to be spontaneous. Passivity, however, should be balanced on your part by more assertive action as far as habitual reactions are concerned.
