The situation with the woman is as I have given it.

Now. No (underlined) physical condition is irreversible, with the exception of loss of limbs and definite organs. The personality is always free to choose, in your terms, its future. But the choice is with the inner self, which is the real identity. There are of course other elements entering into any such situation. Telepathically received suggestions from others, and so forth. (Pause.)

The inner self does not feel threatened, therefore, only the part of the personality that is momentarily unaware of the true situation. Others also respond, and are in this drama for their own reasons. (Long pause.) The drama has a theme, and through working out the problems therein presented the theme becomes clear. In some psychological circles there are therapeutic groups that operate by setting up such dramas. Remember, the purpose is therapeutic, though it may not appear so. And none of this should be taken to mean that the sufferings are not quite real to those involved.
