SESSION 412

(Jane began sitting for the session at 9:30 PM, waiting to see what would develop. I thought it very likely she would speak in the new voice. Once again the voice was higher pitched, distant, more or less emotionless, and very clear. Pauses, eyes open at times.)

Knowledge automatically changes the personality and the camouflage structure through which it flows. Knowledge, in other words, is action. There is of course such action taking place in these sessions.

(Which is to say that Jane once again felt, or was aware of, the cone or pyramid effect, the extension reaching to a point up above her head, and explained in various recent sessions. This effect symbolizes Jane and me at the bottom or base of the pyramid, with Seth in the middle and Seth’s entity, represented by the new voice, at the top or peak.

I have several remarks for you. (Eyes open.) The woman’s death was foremost as far as probabilities were concerned, and yet at many points at the time of our session she could have altered those probabilities.

Had she taken the session to heart, the probabilities would have been altered. (Pause.) There were past-life circumstances operating. However, the woman chose the time of her death, with the subconscious knowledge of the whole family.

(Here Seth refers to the suicide of a woman last Wednesday, May 22. A few weeks ago Seth gave a recorded session for the woman at the request of a member of Jane’s ESP class. The woman had threatened suicide before. The family was due to leave Elmira because of a new job opportunity. A few days ago Jane learned that the woman for whom the session was intended had never listened to the tape, refusing to do so even though she had requested the session.)

(Smile.) The new conditions in your sessions unsettled Ruburt to some extent, so that he was the more dependent upon any other small established procedures you had between you. He thinks my friend a cold fish (humorously) but then, he was never a fin.

Now, when you are weary you do not have sessions in any case, and this sense of dedication can be better maintained with alternate periods of work and rest.

I enjoy being with you. I will visit with you at your next session, and hope to find you more bouncy.

It is indeed! I am always here in some way during your sessions. Ruburt is not good enough yet to change his channels quickly, but he is learning. (Pause.) Since you do appear less bouncy than usual, you may end the session; but I may stay a while now that I am here. I am a cheap houseguest. My heartiest wishes to you both.

(10:45. Jane left trance easily, saying that she still had a trace of the pyramid effect even while Seth spoke—and at the end of the session. Seth had been his usual energetic self, in marked contrast to the cool and distant voice of his entity, so called.)
