[... 1 paragraph ...]

(At 9 PM we sat waiting to see if a session would develop. Jane wasn’t aware of anyone being present at first, but at 9:15 she got a slight impression of the cone effect, described in the last two sessions. We talked about the material on coordinates, and at 9:25 Jane got a sentence within concerning them. She didn’t think it was from Seth. She also said it disturbed the connection when she talked about what she had received.

(Once again Jane began speaking for Seth’s entity, as we have come to call the personality beyond Seth; her voice had the same higher and distant, clearly enunciating quality as before. There was no greeting to us as Seth usually gives. Jane spoke with eyes opening at times, and with many pauses, some of them long.)

(Pause. Our cat jumped up into Jane’s lap as she spoke. I didn’t know if he would bother her under the new circumstances, so I got up to put him in another room. Jane appeared undisturbed. Later she said she was aware of the interruption.)

(9:58. Jane sat with her eyes still closed, but nodded that she was okay to my question. Her eyes opened a minute later. She had used the new distant voice throughout, as before; this time though her pace had usually been better. She said she didn’t get the cone or pyramid effect after the one time noted before the session began.

(Jane said she doesn’t really know how to begin the sessions lately. She sits and “listens inward.” She hears a word and then begins. She was aware of the different voice. With Seth, she always felt he was present, immediate, alive and strong. With the new source, Seth’s entity, Jane said she feels it is way up above her, talking; but once she gets the first word there’s no problem.

(I wondered aloud if we should ask definitely for a name for the new voice, since it might give Jane more of a sense of familiarity with the new voice, and help in writing up the notes; but it was no big deal, we decided.

(Jane resumed with the same new voice and delivery at 10:13.)

(10:25. Jane came out of trance easily. However, she said things weren’t just right; she felt there was a disturbance at the other end—it wasn’t coming through as strong from “there.” She was not bothered by noises in the house, etc., and remembered none of the material until the end.

(I thought the session was over. Jane lay back on the couch as we talked about coordinates. Then I saw her eyes close; her face took on a certain familiar expression, she smiled, and I knew Seth was going to speak. 10:30.)

[... 1 paragraph ...]

(Jane said later she got this line just before Seth began to speak. As usual the Seth personality was immediate, strong, and very humorous. Eyes very dark, open often and looking at me.

(“Oh… What do you think of the remark Jane made the other day—that the earth represents our subconscious?)

[... 2 paragraphs ...]

(10:39. Jane came out of trance easily after a short pause. Seth had been very animated and amusing—funny, with a good voice, eyes open often and looking toward me as Jane lay flat on the couch.

(Jane made the remark about the earth representing our unconscious last weekend while we were driving through the countryside.
