Give us a moment. (Pause, hand to eyes. Jane’s voice still persisted in the light, gentle, almost lilting quality, quite different from the usual deeper Seth voice.) The Seth personality has been an intermediary, and a legitimate one. (Pause.) The information already given to you regarding the nature of personality gestalts should make this development seem indeed a fitting one.

(Jane now sat leaning forward, quite close to me, eyes open, speaking very carefully, lightly and deliberately before leaning back after a few sentences.)

You have always been then in contact with me, but you were only able to see a portion of me. (Pause.)
