(Because Monday’s session was so unusual, Jane felt a little hesitant about holding a session tonight. We sat quietly at 9 PM, waiting to see what developed. When Jane did begin speaking in trance, her voice was peculiarly gentle in quality—lighter than the usual stronger and heavier Seth voice by a good bit, almost as though she was proceeding somewhat cautiously. But there were other reasons for this different voice, as we learned later.

(Jane’s eyes now opened as she spoke, but she sat quite still and continued in the gentle, almost lilting voice.)

I do intend to implement this material whenever possible by helping you both achieve subjective experiences that will fill out the words for you. These will vary according to the circumstances and our conditions, but are much more possible now after the sessions’ latest development.

(Jane wasn’t worried while speaking, and didn’t force anything. Tonight she felt some of the energy of last Monday, but didn’t feel she could do anything with it— she just enjoyed soaking it up.

You have always been then in contact with me, but you were only able to see a portion of me. (Pause.) Keep in mind that all names are arbitrary, and we use them merely for your convenience, as we use words. (Still speaking carefully.) Basically, Seth’s name or mine isn’t important. Individuality is important, and continues in ways you barely suspect. (Long pause; voice light, not like Seth.)

(After the session Jane told me that in here she began to feel the familiar surge of great energy again—that no matter how fast she spoke she couldn’t keep up with the words forming and leaving her. Yet at this time her pace was still but average, with many pauses, and her voice still peculiarly gentle.)

At these particular points whole conglomerations of new self units come into being, their origin sparked as given in the last sentence. They then disperse and go their own ways, but the mutual origin and the strength of that initial psychic birth remain.

They may develop in entirely different fashions and in various dimensions, but a strong sympathetic attraction exists between them. There is a point of contact where knowledge can be communicated from these various dimensions; and for too many reasons to give you now, Ruburt is precisely in proper coordinates for such communication to take place.

(Pause.) I have done my best to give you an understanding as a basis for our future sessions. Seth as you knew him will also be Seth as you know him; for whether or not I speak as myself or through him, as you think of him, he is still the intermediary and the connection between us, and he will help transmit energy; but more, he will also appear as himself as you have known him. There are necessary emotional elements that are uniquely his own. (Pause.) My personality structure is far different—very rewarding to me (smile, eyes open), but very unfamiliar to you. You will understand him better emotionally, and need, I believe, that strong connection.

(Jane then jumped, her right arm moving almost violently, eyes open briefly. She said she was okay when I inquired. Her eyes began to flicker, then opened. She did not speak, but finally took her glasses from me. “I feel like I’m light as air, you know… Also feel like I’ve been a long way away.”

(11:12. Jane said, “I don’t feel I’m all me yet. I’m not projecting, but I feel like I’m half off to the right…” Yet she was aware of sensation within her physical body—a spot on her gum, etc.

(Jane said that before break she had felt the delivery was exceedingly slow. But after break she felt it was exceedingly fast, like a “wink, or a split second.” Yet objectively there had been no great extremes, except as noted. Once toward the end of the session I had to ask her to slow down a bit for note-taking. When I did this, Jane said she had an inner feeling of going back and forth. She couldn’t describe this any better.
