“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(She began speaking in trance as usual however; her start was late because of her lethargy; she “hung around” a bit waiting to see if a session would be held. But once begun the trance was good, eyes opening as usual, pauses as usual.)

Now as far as our own material is concerned, it has taken short shrift for some time. There are loose ends dangling in many areas. We shall try to add some continuity and consistency, therefore. You have still been given but a sketchy outline, in truth, but we have time to fill it in. For that matter, the outline is scarcely completed.

These experiments will run along with and closely follow the vocalized expression of the concepts involved. The experiences will give you some small glimmering of unfortunate but necessary loss of meaning that occurs when any concept must be communicated in physical ways.

I am the Seth that I say I am, but I am also more. The Seth personality that is a part of me is the portion that can most clearly communicate with you. At some future time I will indeed discuss this more thoroughly, and on some occasions in the future you may become more aware of other portions of my reality. (Very forceful delivery.) Do you follow me? My reality includes the Seth reality.

(The energy sweeping her along was so strong, Jane said, that she now wondered how she would have ended the session had not the voice suggested this; but I could reassure her that from observation now I could tell when her trance was very deep, and knew enough now to end it when necessary. Jane said that tonight she was as “un-me” as she had ever been. In retrospect it was a bit frightening—there was a terrific sense of power and energy. She hadn’t been as “cozily Seth” as usual; less cozily a personality in our terms; but she also didn’t know who or what was responsible, aside from the great energy.

(Jane said the feeling involved—so vast—doesn’t show up very well in the transcript, but never before had she so definitely felt the source or impetus of the energy involved as being from someplace else, of its being “not me.”

(At 11:07 she still felt the energy, but it was slowly diminishing; although still strong. Jane feels the energy went through her yet left a residue, for she now felt much better than before the session. Again in retrospect, she said the episode was “slightly scary,” while agreeing that she had given inner permission for it to take place. She asked me to make these detailed notes for later reference.)
