([Rob:]“Good evening, Seth.”)

Now, you see, you have been robbing yourself of an experience of truly knowing these individual men, for you have not permitted yourself to see them as they are and as they have been. After three lives as a male, you have indeed acclimated yourself very well. You have been somewhat envious. I sense you yelling to yourself when you see a male in strong action or performance, I sense you yelling to yourself—I can do that better than you can for I have done it before—again this is reflected in the way you drive your car.

Let our friend Ruburt and that one (Rob) take a brief break. I do not need a break.

([Rob:]”All right.”)

([Rob to Jane:] “Want your glasses? … Suppose you lean forward and take them. Open your eyes. There…”

([Rob:] “I thought what he said about Dick was very perceptive.”

([Rob:] “What did he say about him?”

([Rob:] “Well, don’t forget that no human being is going to see another completely, anyhow.”

([Rob:] “Well, most of the sessions were like this.”

([Rob:] “I think it would be a good idea if you ask questions, also. When certain points are being discussed, ask questions as in a regular conversation. It won’t disturb Seth.”

([Rob:] “That’s a statement that will need explanation later.”

([Rob:] “Well, it will help you and Dick, both.”

([Rob:] “I don’t know whether to tell you to let him hear the tape or not. That’s outside our ability to know.”

([Rob:] “Well, a lot of it depends on background knowledge. I don’t know what he thinks of Seth. That’s why I don’t know whether it would be good for him to listen to it or not.”

([Rob:] “But he needs to understand the nature of Seth and study the concepts involved, or he will reject anything unpleasant.”

([Rob:] “Now if either one of you had mentioned that, it would have been a big help at the time.” During an earlier visit.

([Rob:] “It would have prepared Dick to accept this session.”

([Rob:] “Yes, but when it gets personal, anyone would put up protective devices. It’s only natural to do so.”

([Rob:] “Yes, a session that is personal is hitting them broadside.”)

(At this point, Rob smiled but Pat didn’t.

(Then Seth turned to Rob and said:) Now I have put myself out, Joseph and I’ve joked and for this I get a tear.

([Rob:] “I’m sure it will pass.”)

([Rob:] “May we have a break, Seth.” Tape was running out.)

([Rob:] “It gives you an idea how things can operate on a subconscious level. He feels beholden to his parents. His psychic energy has chosen this way, possibly, of establishing karma. It’s not an idea of punishment, it’s an idea of further spiritual development. In this life he has chosen to be a son to these people, in a way to be of service to them, to help others.”

([Rob:] “So you see, that puts a far different light on a person’s behavior than just to say he’s afraid to get married or he’s afraid of women.” Seth entered here.)

([Rob:] “Have you ever drank beer?”)

([Rob:] “How about cigars?”)

[Rob:] “He worries a little bit because he doesn’t remember what he says, though.”)

([Rob:] “Good night, Seth.”
